Okay, I know this is a bit of a couple of weeks ago squee, but I am proud to announce that I have TOTALLY figured out what the fuck was going on with Lost: the whole island was an elaborate set for the Harbor School Graduation Dance. Yes, that's right, it was part of The OC. How do I know this? Simple. Marissa is evil, as everyone knows. Their dances are ridiculously over the top and expensive. It's not unthinkable that they'd book out an island and hire some actors to add to the atmosphere. Plus, they totally gave it away on Lost when they had Alan fucking-Jim-from-Neighbours Dale come in for the last episode to play a bad guy, and when it transpired that the boat the Scottish guy got marooned in was called Newport Beach.

Oh JJ Abrams, you thought you were so smart, but I totally fooled you.
